I almost forgot to do What I'm Loving Wednesday! Alexis and Anna both reminded me to hop back up on that bandwagon because it is great. I love going through everyone's blogs to either get ideas of things I want for myself, great presents, things to do or anything else that I stumble upon while looking at all the other blogs. So, here is what I'm loving this Wednesday:
1. I love my boyfriend. I know I posted about that last week but really he is awesome. We have been together for almost 3 years now and he always manages to surprise me. We have never celebrated Valentines Day because I don't want to.
We are young and still in a new(ish) relationship. To me Valentines Day is for when life gets crazy hectic and you start to forget to show your appreciation for one another. Don't get me wrong I love certain things about Valentines Day but I don't like that he or me get looked at weird when they ask what HE got ME for VDay. I don't like that it is forced. If he wants to show me I'm special then he knows not to do it on that day. That said I'm pretty sure he always wants to do something for me. So this year being the smarty pants that he is he sent me this:
It's an Edible Arrangement (which I love) and it wasn't on Valentines Day. I loved it! People kept asking me what the occasion was and I got to say "just because" not "because it's Valentines Day duh!" I'm not typically a mushy gushy kind of person but really, how sweet is that.
2. This is kind of a three-in-one. My brother and I went snowboarding this weekend to Mt. Holly (terrible idea). If you live in Michigan you know that recently we got a lot of snow but also on Monday the temperature started to rise and everything started to melt, which causes ice on the mountains. We had planned to go Saturday and something came up. Then we planned to go Sunday but something ELSE came up. So, finally we were able to go on Monday and it was ice city. I fell a LOT more than usual and I am still paying for it with whiplash, bruised knees and butt, and all of the sore muscles. I've never been able to afford my own board and really I still can't but I've been stalking all of the stuff I want if I had the chance to buy it. Without further ado here's the gear I'm loving currently.
These bindings by Flow are my obsession. Ever since I started looking for gear I have loved these. they are really easy to strap on and they are really comfy.
I've always wanted a more understated board. Something simple yet noticeable on the mountain. This past week when we went I met a guy who had a purple jacket and his board was all black with the face of a panda on it. It was incredibly simple, no bright colors, no crazy patterns and yet it was very noticeable, aside from the fact that he was a straight man in a purple coat with a panda board.
To add to the simplicity of everything put together these boots are a perfect fit. They go right along with the color scheme and they stay understated. I love them. And if you hadn't noticed I really like the color blue.
I'm also currently obsessed with this necklace from Lia Sophia. I love it. Since the new catalog came out I have been dying to order it and my mom just did! Now I can just "borrow" her necklace and I can get something else. :)
I recently decided to try BB cream. No clue what it was supposed to do. I just thought it was this miraculous cover-up. Turns out it is but it isn't. After a little bit more research and digging I found out that BB cream is kind of an all in one product. Hence, why they usually say that on the bottle. It is great. I can honestly replace so many products if I wanted to (I do enjoy a variety and a backup, just in case). I love that is the beginning to my routine now and it works as a moisturizer as well as a sunscreen.
Beauty specialists always recommend that you have sunscreen on your face in order to prevent wrinkles but I hate wearing a sunscreen because they make my face feel oily. And let's be honest I really hate the extra step. I'm an eyeliner and mascara kind of girl - I have those 2 and I'm a happy camper. Now, I don't have to worry about it.
It also works to down play any red marks and discoloration my skin has. Having bad acne in high school has left me with a few scars and I still get zits too, so it's been great to use this and it makes my skin look much more even. Basically, there are sooo many reasons to love a BB cream and I am now a loyal user. I'll probably look to invest a little more in my next BB cream but Maybelline's was for sure a great start. You can pick it up at Target for around $8! Great investment.
That's what I'm loving this Wednesday. Hope you enjoyed. P.S. I still need to make the carrot cake cupcakes. Not sure if I will get to it today but most likely this weekend I will. I'm too sore to move today. :p

I have ALWAYS wanted to try a BB cream and your review has convinced me to do so! My skin and I thank you :)

It is great. I really hate having something all over my face because I have oily skin. With the BB cream I can't even tell it's on my face! Love it!
