Sautee Sunday

My weekend had a kind of rough start to it. I didn't do much since I came down with a cold, a bummer considering I haven't been sick in over 2 years! On the Thursday, it was just a weird feeling in the back of my throat, which eventually progressed to a sore throat. It has slowly moved down into my chest and it is starting to break up, but needless to say I spent most of Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning in my bedroom.

Josh, my boyfriend, came over Saturday night and we hung out. Nothing special to the night, hung out with my parents and the puppies, while enjoying the company. Sunday was certainly a fun day. We went down to the mall to look for some clothes for an interview for him that he may or may not have coming up. The job is for GM and he is really really excited/nervous about it. I must say I'm really excited for him. It could mean a LOT of opportunities for him and he deserves all of them.

Anyways, we went to the mall, got him a nice blue shirt and a silver tie and he looks darn good in it! ;) I found this amazing little store called Madewell. I am IN LOVE with EVERYTHING in this store! It's depressing that I can't afford pretty much anything in the store but oh well. This dress is one of the things I spotted that I fell in love with.
I pretty much got offered a job while I was there and the manager was really nice! I definitely would've filled out an application if it wasn't for the hours. Having a full time job kind of prevents any type of working at the mall unless you want to work after the mall is closed and you are stocking the store-no fun.

After the mall we went to one of the outdoor malls around us and dinked around at one of my favorite stores, Moosejaw. When we were there we made friends with the two managers that were working and learned how to pry off a security tag from clothing items-this is what they were doing before we walked in, we were NOT trying to steal anything! They were so bored they were even drawing diagrams of what works best. The guys were really the best, I have never been in a Moosejaw and had a bad experience with the associates, always a great staff.

We stopped at Whole Foods while we were there to pick up some stuff for dinner. We decided to make some pseudo fajita wraps. I say "pseudo" because currently my boyfriend is trying to go vegetarian for 30 days and so he therefore can not eat meat. The wraps turned out delicious! I really didn't think I would end up liking them and I wish we made more.

We picked up some whole grain tortillas and roasted red pepper hummus from the store. We already had peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, lettuce and cucumbers at my house. We fried up the mushrooms and the red peppers in some extra virgin olive oil, chopped up the lettuce, cucumbers (I didn't add these to mine but Josh did) and tomatoes. I thought everything seemed kind of random together for the most part. It was almost half taco, half fajita, but it all came together really well. Super delicious!

Thanks for stopping by!
