It's that time of the month again....and no I don't mean my special time of the month. Loan check-in! Oh boy.  This month I had another business trip, as you all know. It was semi-last minute and the ticket was a little pricey. There is a lot of work stuff sitting on my credit cards currently but I sadly had to cave in and use my cards last month to buy small things. I used what I had to and returned what I figured out I didn't need, but I can't return gas...

So, no judgement when you see the credit card amounts, it's not all me, I swear!

Monthly payment amount

Student loan 1   7,836.38                                    50.00
Student loan 2   31,893.55                                  346.08
Student loan 3   11,587.96                                  50.00
Student loan 4   9,973.78                                    110.00 (It's under $10,000!)

The rest

Student loan 5    1,633.10                                  130.00
Student loan 6    7,175.08                                  90.00

And the credit cards: Everything is paid off :D

Amex: 940.48
Visa: 203.77
Macys: still paid off

The total for student loans comes to: $70,099.85. You've got to be kidding me! So stinking close to getting it under 70 and I just barely missed the mark. Well at least I know for sure that next month I can finally start saying I'm in the 60's and making progress. That's frustration staring at me right in the face. The credit card total comes to: $1,144.25. Like I said, most of this is from work. I know, I know, shame on me for using my card, but honestly I didn't have a choice last month. I swear. The worst part is I submitted two expense reports trying to get back at least the amount for my plane ticket sooner and I'll have to wait to get the rest of my reimbursement.

It does feel good to see progress being made every month. The whole reason I started the blog was so I could track my progress and see what my best options are for paying off my loans. I did start to up some of my other loans because they were just gaining in interest and it was never going down. I figure it's for the best considering my smallest loans doesn't have a very high interest rate.

That's the monthly update for my loans! Next month I'll be in the 60's!
