Friday night started our weekend of shenanigans off wonderfully. We went out with his friends for their usual "Friday Family dinner night". We headed to an Azteca and everyone except for my boyfriend decided they were going to get a margarita, I mean it was Cinco de Mayo weekend! How could we not. After dinner we all headed over to the frozen yogurt shop and everyone grabbed a little dessert (sadly, everyone but me and Josh). Josh was too full and I can't really eat ice cream or frozen yogurt anymore because it makes me feel nauseous. But I LOVE ice cream!
Saturday, I got in a pretty decent workout, followed by an awful run, darn you outside wind! Josh headed over to my house around 5. I got all fancied up for him and he got all snazzy for me. It was cute. I like it. We went to the mall for a little to try and find him a nice messenger bag so he could bring home his work laptop. We failed. Everything was too expensive.
We went off to dinner and after a few mistaken choices we ended up at Maggiano's, an Italian restaurant in my area. It was delicious but we ate a lot of bread and an appetizer before we got our meals. We order a special they had where you get an appetizer, two meals, dessert and two more meals to take home! We were so excited at the deal we didn't think about how much food we were actually eating. Plus, the meals were family sized portions. We basically came home with 4 meals and a week's worth of lunches.
Sunday, we headed off to my brothers wedding shower and they were literally the only two guys in the room. I felt bad but he was put in charge of taking pictures for the event and he loved it. He's never been to a wedding before and he were all chatting about how amazing my cousin's wedding was that he got really excited (mostly about the open bars) to go to the four we have this summer.
It wasn't that eventful of a weekend, so there wasn't a whole lot to write about even though I did write a good amount, but it was a really nice weekend that was needed and enjoyed.
Before I finish my post, I wanted to thank someone who is very special to me (no, not my boyfriend), my best friend. She wrote me a letter in her blog and thanks to her I was balling my eyes out in my cube this morning, literally balling. It's weird because I was raised in a family with two sisters but never really had a sister (that doesn't have to make sense to you because it does to me) and she has truly become my sister. I love you very much and my life would not be complete without you (yes, cheesy I know). Thank you for befriending me at practice, fighting with me when needed, not boping me in the mouth when needed, and becoming the sister that I needed. I know for a fact I would not be the same person without you in my life. And yes, there is so much more I would love to write in this blog but I figure we'll just kick your boyfriend out one of these night and have a wine and cheese night. :) I love you <3
You're just the sweetest thing ever. Thanks for that :) Love you!
