The Tone It Up girls are two trainers that I have been following for almost three years now. When I lived at school my last semester, I tried to live a much healthier lifestyle and follow their nutrition plan. I still live a fairly healthy lifestyle - I don't eat fast food (unless it's Taco Bell at 3am), I never really eat fried foods, the only heavy starches I eat are mainly pastas and that's a rare occasion, and I don't really binge- unless it's just before my period and then I just can't help it!
But this year, I plan to follow their plan as best I can and stick to it. The challenge is only 8 weeks long and heck, if it makes my booty smaller, I'm ok with it. Their challenge is all about eating lean, clean and green while getting a sweat in every day. Making everything a habit helps you begin to love it instead of dread it.
My other update is that I caved on charging to my credit card. I didn't have a choice! I'm flat broke currently and I have a business trip coming up. On this business trip, I'm supposed to be attending a "gala" and I'm supposed to dress "nicer". That does not clarify anything for me as a girl. Details people! Details are a girl's best friend. Do I wear a full length gown? A business dress? A simple black dress? A cocktail dress? And don't even get me started on the shoes! So I had to pick up a few things to see what is going to work.
Plus, I had to get some appropriate shorts because I really don't want to be around a bunch of older men staring at my behind. So I purchased some longer, more appropriate shorts from Target that I'm in love with.
They are really comfy and oober adorable. Oh, the reason I'll need shorts is because I will have a lot of free time at the show, especially Sunday when the show is over and my flight doesn't leave until 6pm! And it's supposed to be in the 90's. Yay for no cold Michigan weather for a few days!
Unfortunately, I also had to purchase my bridesmaid dress for a wedding this summer and it had to go on my credit card. I'm a little over $200 currently on my card, but that is all I have on my credit cards. I'm hoping to return a few of the things once I get back from the show and I know what I will need and not need. Sadly, that is $200 that could've gone on my loans.
On the plus side!
My old friend from high school and I got to talking and she does some promotional work on the side. She sent me a few websites that she goes through to do work and I've already gotten a couple requests for work. Sadly, the two I got were on days that I have plans, but it has potential for more. Working at Best Buy and my current job have made me pretty good at just walking up to people and striking up a conversation. I think I'll be pretty good at it. She told me that for the summer, she has a ton of jobs coming in and one is for three days over a weekend, making close to $600! Heck, I'm ok with making $100 extra in my pocket. Any little bit helps.
One more update.
I think I'm officially done with Lia Sophia. I gave it a shot, but I spent more on building my table and prizes for the shows and it never really took off. I know they all say, "Don't let it discourage you" but it has and I can't keep putting money into it if it isn't going to pay off. Well, I got some cute jewelry from it anyways. Here's to hoping things get a little better.
