So Productive

While I haven't been very productive on my blog, I have been very productive both personally and professionally. I have gotten a lot done and have ended each day with such a feeling of satisfaction.

There have and are so many things going on in my life right now and unfortunately for my wallet  credit card, there is a lot going on that too. Let me explain.

For last week and this week my best friend has had to attend two business trips, a week long each, and she graciously recommended me to freelance their newsletter while she was gone. Thank goodness because it's a chance for me to make up some extra monies. This has pushed me to do more and be even more on top of things at work. I've had to not only get all of my stuff done on time (obviously) but also get her newsletters out and done in a good time as well. I have actually loved having the extra responsibility. The more stuff I have to do the more I push myself to do a better job and get it all done. I know, kind of nerdy but I have been looking to do more at work and it just reassurance to myself that I can and will be able to do it.

Not to change the subject but this weekend marks my brothers last weekend as a single man. It's weird to say but he is tying the knot. I may not be the biggest fan of his bride-to-be any more but I'm hoping all our differences can be set aside (at least for the day) and have a ball. That's what weddings are for right? Accepting a new family as your own. And with that comes all the good, bad and the evil. I would say, pictures to come but I might have lost my camera at the Ke$ha concert. At least it wasn't my phone in the toilet again. I have no clue how these things happen to me. I am probably the most forget and clumsy person that I know, aside from my brother.

Lets see what else has happened in the last two weeks. Ah yes, Foam Fest. I am absolutely in love with this race! If it comes to your city sign up and do it! But please, I beg of you, be in some decent shape. You do have to pull yourself up and over a few walls, climb a rope tower, crawl under and electric wires (yes they really do shock you) and climb up a gigantic slide - my favorite part! I am definitely in love with doing obstacle races now and I am planning on doing warrior dash sometime soon, hopefully.

Oh yes, no for the credit cards. There's been a lot of developments with my current debt. My car decided it wanted to have a lot of problems that I just couldn't drive by any more. I had to get new brakes, rotars, tires, tires rotated, anti-freeze and a safety inspection and that is just for now. My check engine light has been on and after filling that anti-freeze back up we now know that is not the issue and there is something else going on. Whomp. To add to that situation I also have a problem in the suspension (at least that's what I think) and the heat exhaust has rusted and come loose and is now hanging from the bottom of my car. Yes, many problems for my credit card. On the plus side once all of these issues are fixed my baby will be purring like a kitten again and I won't be afraid to drive my car. I am thinking about selling within the next year and having all of these fixes will only help me keep the value up.

One last thing for my poor credit card is all the weddings I have this summer. Not only do I have my brothers this weekend, which I still haven't gotten a gift for, but one my of best friends from high school is in August and I'm standing up in that wedding. Most women know, standing up in a wedding is never cheap. Thankfully, my dress is already paid for and there are no alterations needed for it. Win! But there is still the bachelorette party, the decorations, gifts, alcohol - which is never cheap, food, and any other little trinkets you can think of. Hopefully there isn't much more to shell out.

Sadly, I probably won't get my smallest loan paid off by the end of the year, unless I fall into a nice heap of money somewhere. I'm going to keep chugging along and paying what I can when I can. The biggest thing is to not let everything everything overwhelm me, but that's what you're hear for. Thank you.

Possibly some pictures to come of the wedding this weekend. :) Finally got an iPhone so I won't have to worry about buying a new camera anytime soon.
